Ornament - Spiral
Our spiral ornaments may be made with or without white highlights on the spiral ridges that cover their surface, the ball’s color comes from colored glass frit that has been picked up by rolling a gather of glass in the color and melting it onto the surface. The spiral ridges are caused in a mold prior to inflating the piece. The twist is imparted at the bench just prior to inflation. To highlight the ridges, white powdered glass may be picked up on the ridges just before it is twisted and blown out.
Christmas balls average 3.5-3.75 inches in diameter. Each ornament is a unique creation, no two are exactly alike.
